Kovrra is a product of Kiuni Inc., a Canadian company with operations in the United States (collectively, "Kovrra," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies only to users in Canada and the United States and governs our collection, use, and protection of your personal information when using the Kovrra Platform.

The Platform includes:

Our websites
Web applications
Mobile apps: Kovrra Worx (staff app), Kovrra Lead (admin app), and Kovrra Talent (candidate app for job seekers and onboarding)
Any related hardware, software, or services

By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. It works alongside our Terms of Service, Client agreements, and applicable laws in Canada (PIPEDA) and the United States (including CCPA in California).

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here. Continued use means you accept the updates.

1. Information We Collect

We collect Personal Information only to provide, improve, and secure our services:

Name, job title, company, email, phone, address
Account login details
Device info (IP address, browser type, OS, device ID)
Usage data (pages visited, features used)
Geolocation (only if you enable it)
Payment information (processed securely via trusted providers)
Support inquiries or form submissions

Biometric Data (Optional)

If you enable facial login in Kovrra Worx or Kovrra Lead, we collect a facial scan only with your explicit consent. We use it solely to verify identity and prevent fraud. We do not sell, share, or profit from biometric data. You can disable it anytime in app settings.

In Kovrra Talent, you may optionally use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the app. That biometric data is handled only on your device by Apple or Google — we do not receive or store your biometric template.

You can stop using the Platform if you do not want to share this information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

Provide and maintain the Platform
Process payments and manage accounts
Offer customer support
Improve features and user experience
Send service updates and optional marketing
Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
Comply with Canadian and U.S. laws

4. Mobile App Data

Kovrra Worx and Kovrra Lead may collect:

Device type, carrier, phone number
Location data (foreground and background)
App usage and crash reports

Background Location Data Collection

Important: Kovrra Worx collects location data to enable accurate time tracking, shift verification, and site attendance monitoring even when the app is closed or not in use.

Why we collect background location:

GPS-verified clock in/out: Ensures employees are at the correct work site when starting or ending shifts
Geofencing verification: Automatically verifies presence at assigned security sites
Real-time location tracking: Enables supervisors to monitor field staff for safety and operational purposes
Shift attendance compliance: Confirms employees remain at assigned locations during scheduled shifts
Emergency response: Helps locate security personnel in case of emergencies

When location is collected:

During active shifts (when clocked in)
When the app is running in the background
When the app is closed but location services remain enabled
Only when you are scheduled for work or have an active shift

Your control: You can control location access in your phone settings. However, disabling location services will prevent you from using core features like clock in/out, shift verification, and may affect your ability to work through the platform. Location data is only collected for work-related purposes and is shared with your employer/client organization.

Data security: All location data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell location data to third parties. Location data is retained only as long as necessary for payroll, compliance, and operational purposes.

Kovrra Talent (Candidate Mobile App)

Kovrra Talent is for job seekers and new hires using Kovrra recruiting and onboarding. It is separate from Kovrra Worx and Kovrra Lead. We do not collect background location in Kovrra Talent.

Information we collect through Kovrra Talent:

Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address (for applications and onboarding)
Account credentials: password or sign-in via Google or Apple (we receive your name and email from the provider you choose)
User content: résumés, cover letters, application answers, uploaded documents, e-signatures, and messages you send to recruiters through the app
Employment and onboarding data: job applications, interview schedules, offer details, and onboarding form responses
Push notification tokens: a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send alerts about applications, interviews, offers, onboarding tasks, and messages (you can disable notifications in your device or app settings)
Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic logs to keep the app secure and reliable

How we use Kovrra Talent data:

Process job applications and communicate about hiring status
Deliver onboarding forms, document signing, and orientation scheduling
Send push notifications for time-sensitive recruiting and onboarding updates
Authenticate your account and prevent fraud or misuse

Who we share with: Your information is shared with the security employer or recruiting organization you apply to or join, and with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and Firebase for push notifications). We do not sell candidate data.

Your control: You can update profile details in the app, turn off push notifications, sign out, or request deletion by contacting privacylead@kovrra.com.

We may send push or SMS alerts — reply STOP or adjust in-app settings to opt out of non-essential notifications.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do NOT sell your personal information. We only share with:

Trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics) under strict contracts
Your employer or organization (if they are a Kovrra Client)
Law enforcement or regulators when required by law

We use Google API Services for email/CRM features and comply with their User Data Policy.

6. Your Privacy Rights (USA & Canada)

You have the right to:

Know what data we collect
Access a copy of your data
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your data (with legal exceptions)
Opt out of marketing and targeted ads
Not be discriminated against for exercising rights

California Residents (CCPA):
You may request a report of your data twice per year. We do not sell your data. Submit requests via email below.

Canadian Residents (PIPEDA):
You may access or correct your personal file at any time.

7. Data Security

We use:

Encryption for data in transit and at rest

You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Internet data transmission is never 100% secure — use at your own risk.

We keep your data only as long as needed for:

Providing services
Legal compliance
Legitimate business purposes

Job applications are kept per law or until you request deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is not for children under 13 (USA) or 14 (Canada). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe we have.
